Only the marketplaces' own pages

Every listing links to the listing page on the marketplace, and every seller fee and private-offer rule links to the marketplace's own documentation, with a short quote. Listings come from the marketplaces' public pages, sitemaps and public APIs (the Oracle Marketplace API, the Red Hat catalog API, the Hugging Face Hub API), and a few Google Cloud listing links come from the vendor's own documentation, since Google Cloud's console pages are drawn by script. No reseller, consultancy or aggregator listings: only the vendor's own. Where a marketplace does not publish a fee or a listing count, the page says so rather than guessing.

Checked on the first of each month

Listings change slowly, so the check runs once a month (the 1st, 12:15 UTC). It requests every listing page once: a page that returns 404, or a listing that redirects away, is recorded as gone (with a dated change, and the listing stays on the site marked Gone); a gone listing that answers again is recorded as listed again. Where the page text is readable, changed pricing words (pay as you go, contract, bring your own license, private offer, free trial) change the pricing model, marked Unverified until a person checks it. Many marketplace pages are drawn by script; for those the check confirms only that the listing still answers. Each marketplace's fee page is read too, and a changed set of percentages is flagged for a person to review; fees never change automatically.

A language model (Gemini, no web access, at most two calls a month) reads a changed listing page only when the plain patterns cannot tell its pricing model; it can only confirm words that are on the page.

History

Nothing is overwritten silently. Listings that appear or leave, pricing-model changes and marketplace fee changes are appended to the change log with the date and the source; a monthly snapshot keeps each marketplace's listing count. Fee changes the marketplaces date themselves are recorded from their pages.

An empty cell

An empty cell in the matrix means no official listing was found on the date checked, not that none exists: some marketplaces list under a legal entity or a product name. Suggest a correction with the link and it is added.

Across fru.dev

Vendor names and slugs follow the shared registry at companies.fru.dev; vendor pages link to the same company on sibling fru.dev sites.
